Update – Art Therapy Workshops for Women and Children Refuge

Kerryn has been busy providing outreach services as well as providing individual one-to-one sessions within tailored therapeutic plans at Kindred Art Space – her Centre for mental health in Frankston.

Kerryn is a seasoned facilitator of therapeutic group workshops since 2008 internationally.  She has relished recently working with mothers and their children who have escaped domestic violence.  Kerryn’s trauma informed approach has guided the group through creative therapeutic processes.  Each group member has had a chance to share their story from a safe, soft, side approach and invited to make items as tangible transportable anchors.  These anchors can then travel with them on their journey beyond the WAYSS refuge where they are temporarily residing, reminding them of their challenges, resilience and goals for a new chapter in their lives.
